Stranon is a small software business based in London, United Kingdom. Email: hello@stranon.com.
Who sells to you
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle’s buyer terms apply to the purchase itself; these terms cover the software and your licence.
Apps bought on the Mac App Store are sold by Apple under Apple’s own terms and licence agreement, not these.
Prices
Prices are shown at checkout in your currency. Paddle adds VAT or sales tax where it applies, and shows the total before you pay.
What you get
When you buy an app you get a licence key by email. The key unlocks:
- The version you bought, to keep. It does not expire and needs no account or internet connection.
- One year of updates. Every update released in the 12 months after your purchase is included.
- After that, new major versions are a paid upgrade at a discount, or a new purchase. The version you have keeps working.
Using your licence
- A licence is for one person. You can use it on all the computers you personally use, at home or at work.
- A company buying for several people needs one licence per person.
- Please don’t share, sell or publish your key, or try to get around the licence check.
- Don’t copy, modify or redistribute the app, or reverse-engineer it, except where the law allows it.
- The app, its code and its design stay ours. You are buying a licence to use it, not the app itself.
Free trials
Some apps can be tried for free before you buy. A trial may be limited in time or features, and is provided as is.
Your data and your files
Our apps run entirely on your computer. They don’t upload your files or collect information about you. See our privacy policy.
We design every app so that originals are not changed or lost, but no software is perfect. Please keep a backup of anything important before working on it.
Responsibility
- Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer. If an app is faulty or not as described, you are entitled to a repair, a replacement or a refund.
- Apart from that, our total responsibility to you is limited to the price you paid. We are not responsible for losses we could not reasonably foresee, or for business losses.
- We do not limit our responsibility where the law does not allow it, for example for fraud, or for death or injury caused by negligence.
Changes
We may update these terms, for example when we add an app or change the licence. The terms in force on the day you bought apply to that purchase.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere, you keep any protections your local law gives you.
